15 months
Connor is 15 months today...how did my baby grow so fast? Today he had his well baby check up and did fantastic! He weighed in at 27lbs 8oz and was 33 1/2 inches long. I believe that puts his height in the 95th percentile and weight in the 85...I can't exactly remember what the Dr. said. I'm amazed everyday by my little man. I know every Mom probably says this but I swear I have the cutest and smartest kid ever! :) His new favorite word is "bite"...although he doesn't really pronounce the T. I only know what he's saying because he says it when we are eating something and comes over with an open mouth. We've also been working on drinking out of a regular cup and eating with silverware. He can definitely get the spoon/fork from plate to mouth but he doesn't always have something on it. Connor can also get his shapes in the shape sorter without me showing him where it goes. The most he's done all by himself so far is three...I couldn't be any prouder of him. Oh and he's opening doors now. We blocked off him going into the laundry room & garage so there is nothing he can get into that will hurt him but still I'm not ready for this phase. Some exciting news to me is that he's finally getting his lateral incisors...all that is left to come in are his canines and second molars. Connor is such a good teether...he barely makes a fuss and has only had a couple of nights were he doesn't sleep well. It's usually at that point that I give him teething tablets or ibuprofen but usually he goes drug free!

Your Pregnancy: Month 7
That was the subject line in my email this AM. Although technically I'm not quite 7 months yet. But still when did we get here? Wasn't it just a few weeks ago I was obsessively buying pregnancy test? I had my 28 week check up, glucose test & and a growth scan today...so a busy morning. The ultrasound showed everything looked great with Sydney...she's measuring right on track and they estimate she's 2lbs 7oz right now. I'll have another growth scan in a month or so. I can't believe I only have 6 more doctor appointments and that in 11 weeks she'll be here! My weight gain to date is 10lbs...I looked and at this point in my pregnancy with Connor I had already gained about 35lbs. Yikes! I really didn't want to gain more than 15 this time around but the chances of that are looking slim...I'll take a 20lb weight gain over nearly 60 any day though.
Sydney was pretty active during my ultrasound today...which is how she is all the time. I swear she's doing ballet, kickboxing and gymnastics in there. Thankfully she doesn't keep me up at night but occasionally I'll wake up on my own and feel her dancing on my bladder. As far as how I'm feeling I'd say some days I don't even feel like I'm pregnant. My biggest complaint would probably be I'm tired but I can't blame that all on being pregnant some of it has to do with chasing Connor around. I've been having some hip and pelvic pain but generally it's not to bad and I have been pretty busy lately in the garden and finishing the TV wall we filed in.
We are moving along on the nursery...Sid hopes to have it painted by this weekend. The flooring should be in tomorrow and I hope the install on that goes smoothly & quickly. I've got the bedding already now I just need to pick out the crib & dresser. Connor's closet is slowly gathering a mass of pink clothing which if he was older I'm sure he wouldn't be to pleased about.
Here's a couple pics and I'm sorry to say but I believe that this child too will have big feet!

Practice makes perfect
We took Connor to watch the Seahawks train. While it certainly was a fun experience...it wasn't as fast paced as I imagined it would be. Hopefully the team was just saving themselves for the season. Nonetheless Connor had a great team trying to run out on the field and dancing for all the people there. Me and Sid really hope to get to a game this season but I think there is only something like 3 or 4 home games before baby Sydney gets here so chances are slim. Considering what he cost to go to the game we are better off watching at home anyway! I'd also like to thank Sid's employee Dana for getting Connor the jersey for his birthday!
Enjoying his Top Pot donut...it's not an infamous maple bar though.

A dirty boy is a happy boy
While I finished up pulling weeds in the flower bed Connor helped Sid. By help I mean picked up rocks, threw them in the grass and ate dirt. :) After I was done it was bath time and then straight to bed.

You like how I get no straight on pictures anymore...Connor is always on the move and doesn't care to engage in my photo taking.

It's been a long time
A long long time!
Last we checked Connor just turned a year...now he's 14 months. Where does the time go? We've just been living & loving life. Connor is a walking machine these days...I'm half tempted to put a pedometer on him to see how much he really walks in a day. Although he's a quick little monkey and doesn't enjoy holding my hand I'm loving the fact he's a walker now...He's almost to heavy for me to comfortably carry. Last time I put him on the scale he weighed in at 26.5lbs...big boy! Must be all that good food he eats! He's such a good eater and if you give him something he doesn't like (PB&J) he smashes it all up and drops it on the floor! I've learned my lesson and have stop making them for him. He LOVES spending time outside...Doesn't matter where it could be the back yard, park or the lake as long as he gets to be outside. He's also talking up a storm these days...although the number of words you can actually understand are limited. The ones we can make out are Mama, Dada, Papa, Bye bye, banana & milk cup. He also repeats the same exact gibberish and his voice raises up an octave like he's asking a question...we just don't know what the question is. It's just to cute! Connor is also a damn good dancer.Whenever he hears music he starts dancing...doesn't matter if it's in the middle of a restaurant. He's got to be one of the happiest babies ever. A sales woman at Nordstroms asked me "Is he always this happy"...simple answer is yes he is. Granted he does have his moments where he doesn't get what he wants and throws himself down on the ground or when his teeth are bothering him but really those moments are few and far between. All and all our baby boy is healthy, happy and growing strong.

Now an update on me and SJ. I'm currently 24 weeks. I've got know major complaints...I'm tired but who wouldn't be chasing a toddler all day? Everything is looking good and measuring right on track. I've gained about 5lbs so far...I can still get some of my pre-pregnancy pants on but I can't get them comfortably buttoned. By this time in my 1st pregnancy I had gained a significant amount of weight so my maternity pants are big on me at this stage. I'm glad I haven't gained a bunch of weight but it's frustrating not having many clothing options. I don't want to spend a lot of $$$ on new clothes because I do believe this is my last pregnancy. I go back to the doctor in 4 weeks...I'll be doing my glucose test and having another ultrasound to see about how big she is. Any chance I get to see my little girl I'm all for!
This is Sydney's profile for my last ultrasound.

Hopefully in the next coming weeks Sid will finally get started on the nursery. Between work and his shed project he hasn't had time to really do anything yet. He's almost at a stopping point on the shed and he'll move to the room. In reality Sydney won't be in there until at least 3 months but I'm still excited to put it all together. I've got the bedding picked out already and know what style of furniture and wall color I want...just have to narrow it down to the perfect one and go shopping!
