Sydney Jade was born at 8:17 am on 11/12/2010. She weighed in at 6lbs, 7.5oz and 19 inches long. My tiny little girl is just perfect! First thing me and Sid said about her was how much she looks like Connor...who looks like Sid. Guess I'll never have kids that look like me! Sydney is a champ at eating and sleeping...I really couldn't ask for more.
I'll try to add some pics soon right now I'm blogging from my phone waiting to be discharged

Say cheese!
A couple weeks ago had the opportunity to get some maternity & family pictures done...it's been something I've always wanted to do and glad we did. Our photographer Hope was so patient and really one of the nicest people I've met in a long time. She was able to make me feel comfortable even though I wasn't. I hope we get to use her again once Sydney gets older (and I get rid of some weight and get in shape!)

38 weeks...
and I'm sick! I don't mean sick as in sick and tired of being pregnant (OK I am that) but I mean sick...like can't breath, snotty nose, head feels like it is going to explode sick. Really not fair! Everything I thought I would get done this week has not got done because I've basically been sitting on my ass trying to will myself to feel better. Connor had a snotty nose for 1 day and then was fine...again not fair! Alright I'm done complaining ...and at least I got sick before Sydney came because that would be even worse!
OK here's an update on what is going on...
Week: 38
Next Dr. appointment: Thursday
Delivery date: Friday
How I'm feeling: Ready to be done :)I also feel really huge and that my belly has got really big lately. I thought it looked as if I dropped but my Mom said it still looked like she was high. Not that it matters we know she's coming! Hip pain, back pain (so bad one night I almost woke Sid up to take me to the hospital...I was sure it was back labor! lol), emotional...everything & nothing makes me cry.
Weight gain: 16lbs (gained a pound this week)
Sleep: Not really getting any. It is practically impossible to roll over
Things to get done: car seat in the car, wash clothes & bedding, set up bed in our room, bring swing down stairs, trip to babies r us, get my hair done, pedicure and a waxing...a girl has to look good when she meet's her baby girl! :)

Trick or Treat!?!?!
First off I just have to say Halloween + A toddler = FUN FUN FUN! To think I just about called off going TOT at all...Not only am I 37 weeks pregnant but I also have a head cold. Craptastic! But it's not about me it's about my boy and I wanted to make sure he had a good time. A good time he had too. We happened to get so lucky finding his costume at the last minute. Actually Sid found it just laying on an end cap at Target and once he saw it he knew was it. We took Connor down to Kent Station to TOT at all the stores and I'm not kidding you everyone commented on the my little Dinosaur.

37 weeks
I'm so ready to have a baby! Seriously...it has been rough lately. Nearly unbearable hip pain & lower back pain. Some days I can barely move. I know it's almost over and I know I'm growing a healthy baby but I'd be happy with her coming any day now! :) I had my 37 week check up and everything looks good. My group b test came back negative and I lost 2lbs. That brings my total weight gain so far to 15 pounds...woohoo! Although with the Halloween candy that I've been eating I wouldn't be surprised if I gained back that 2lbs at my 38 week appointment. We are in the last stages of getting Sydney's room ready and our room finished. Over the next 2 weeks I'll be putting in the car seat and washing clothing and bedding. I have to admit I'm a little nervous how on earth I am going to handle 2 under 2...thankfully I know that my parents will be there to help and I already plan on spending a many days down at their house.

34 weeks
Today I had my 34 week appointment. Only 5 more weeks left! I'm still feeling pretty good these days...just really tired. I do have a few mornings where I feel sick to my stomach but usually goes away with something to eat and it usually needs to be something that is not so good for me. They did another growth scan on Sydney and estimate her to be 5lbs, 2oz. My doctor thinks she'll be about 7 1/2 lbs at birth. Wholly small baby batman! So I guess it's true what they say...Mama's weight gain effects baby's weight. I have gained another 4lbs...ugh! This is what happens when I don't cook and we eat out...OK and the ice cream doesn't help either! :) So my total weight gain is 14lbs. There goes my goal of only gaining 15lbs...damn!

My 1st thought whenever I see these ultrasounds of Sydney's face is that they always look like Connor...who looks like Sid. I wonder if my kids will ever look like me?

Almost there
We...actually I should say Sid is almost done with Sydney's room. My Dad came over and helped Sid change all the outlets, put the light fixture up & put together the crib. My Mom also picked up a white rocking chair that goes perfect in Sydney's room. I seriously don't know what we would do without my parents...they are the best! Sid just has a few more pieces of trim to put up, some staining to do and put in the closet organizer and I'll be free to get in there and put everything away!

We also started another project...I couldn't stand the icky carpet in our room and the boring walls. So since flooring was on sale at Costco we picked some up and I went and picked out some pant. Sid's got 3 of the walls and the walkway to the closet done. Next weekend he hopes to get the wall behind the bed painted and trim and the floor installed. This all depends on if one or both of my brothers are free to come help. I helped as much as I could already but at 33 weeks pregnant I'm not very productive.
Did I mention Sid still has his shed to build? I wonder if we will ever stop having projects and if we do what will we do then?
